Hang It All
A non juried group show at Linnaea’s Cafe to promote giving original art for the holidays.
Everyone can participate. The cafe takes no commission.
Bring no more than 2 pieces of wall ready art to Linnaea’s Cafe on Sunday November 27th 8:00pm-10pm
All unsold artwork is to be picked up by the artist Monday December 26th during operating hours.
First come first served. Each artist hangs their own work. All art is sold directly off the wall.
Nothing to be priced over $100.00

A true troubadour, Julian Temple has been belting the hell out of his husky voice, his beloved acoustic guitar and his bipolar songs for the past decade all over the road to nowhere. Which is why he has ended up on a whirlwind tour of three countries in three nights, weaving together tall tales and social commentary with a bluesy-funky-jazzy-country-love for sound. From his home in the Deep South of New Zealand, Temple will make his way north, over the ditch to Australia for a night in Sydney and on to his birth-place; California… all in three days! Linnaea’s Cafe is proud to present Laurel Sherrie’s “Favorite Places,” Landscape Paintings.

Laurel Sherrie, a well-known local artist, will have her oil paintings on display from November 1-27.

Reception November 4th from 6-9 pm, during Art After Dark.

Laurel paints the countryside of San Luis Obispo County. She loves painting on location. “Outdoor painting fosters an intense involvement with the landscape,” she explained. “I paint to inspire people to save the wild and beautiful places that we still have.”

Welcome to SLOlio, the new monthly storytelling event. SLOlio events are open to anyone who has a true story to share based on a theme and told without notes. Our inaugural event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 8pm-10pm.

Theme for September 21, 2011 – “Narrow Escape”

The theme for the September 21, 2011 SLOlio event is “Narrow Escape”. If you would like to share a story, start preparing an 8 to 10 minute story based on the theme. If you would like to attend to listen only, we’ll see you on September 21st.
